    Why It’s Worth Watching:Spy x Familyis one of the most popular anime from the past few years, and for good reason. Anything connected to it is worth checking out. This movie features all of the humor and absurdity of the original series. Like the series, it balances spy-based action with cute family moments and silly jokes. Overall, if you liked the original, you will most likely enjoy this film.

    Why It’s Worth Watching:If you’re one ofMy Hero Academia’smany fans, then this new film is not to be missed. So far, theMHAfilms have been non-canon stories that fit somewhere in between the main storyline. This one looks like it’ll be similar. This is a good thing, because it gives the creators the freedom to create self-contained stories with budget and manpower extending far beyond what most non-canon or “filler” anime involves.

    What It's About:This film features the long-awaited showdown between Karasuno and Nekoma, known as the “dumpster battle” because the teams are represented by crows and cats, respectively. Who will win is anybody’s guess.

    Why It’s Worth Watching:Karasuno and Nekoma have been rival teams since long before any of the main characters were playing volleyball. In this film, the current members finally get to take each other on. ForHaikyuu!!fans, this fight is a highly anticipated event. And sinceHaikyuu!!is one of the most popular sports anime out there, that probably applies to a lot of people.

    What It's About:This is a sequel to the previousGivenmovie. This time it focuses on the relationship betweenHiiragi and Shizusumi. So far, the movie is not available outside of Japan, but hopefully this will change in the future.

    Why It’s Worth Watching:Givenis a popular BL series that does an excellent job detailing the complexities of relationships. Some, like the one between Ritsuka and Mafuyu, are wholesome and sweet. Others, like those involving the older characters, are a bit more disturbing. So, the series has a variety. This time, the relationship involves characters who were in Mafuyu’s former band, which may shed some light on the original main characters.

    Why It’s Worth Watching:This film has actually been in development since 2006, but was postponed due to the main writer, Chiaki Morosawa, having a serious health condition. It was restarted in 2016, then finally debuted in 2024. That much time and attention makes it worth checking out, but that’s not the only reason. The film also features excellent battle mecha battle animation, and does a great job characterizing the cast ofSEED.

When he gets invited to Blue Lock, he has little choice about whether or not to participate.

    Why It’s Worth Watching:Blue Lockhas a lot of great characters, so the idea of a spin-off centering on one of them is exciting. For fans of Nagi, it’s even more so. Nagi is lazy and unmotivated but exceptionally talented - a popular character archetype that appears in everything from classic shonen likeNarutoto slice of life likeHyouka.Can Nagi be a great protagonist? Maybe!
