This is a remote opportunity that can be in either the central or eastern time zones.

The specialty programs we focus on are craft beverage, day care facilities, social service, pest control, health & fitness, personal care and alarm & security companies.
We are seeking individuals to work from home, that want to make an enduring impact on the future of a successful, growing insurance organization.
We’re looking for talented candidates who understand commercial lines coverage and risk and can manage the renewals of a diverse book of small and middle market accounts.
The Underwriter generally renews larger accounts; this role will own the smaller renewals. We believe that careful and critical underwriting and pricing of renewals of all sizes is critical and paramount to the success of our relationships and our performance.
In addition to handling assigned renewals with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness, the position entails responsibility for the effective administration of the routine, associated policy transactions for assigned renewal accounts.
If you’re analytically minded, hands-on and a self-starter, this position is for you.
In this role, you will be a central member of our underwriting and relationship management team on the renewal book with our agencies, supporting our Account Executives (AE), who are multi-line underwriters. You will own and enhance the renewal activity and strategy for the book and bring forward underwriting measures to maintain and improve the quality and performance of that book.
Requirements
3+ years of multi-line commercial lines renewal underwriting experience with a carrier with a mastery of underwriting principles and basic commercial insurance coverage and rating knowledge required.
Superior desk management skills with an entrepreneurial, high-energy, positive attitude and work ethic.
Must be comfortable and self-directed to work independently in a remote, virtual office environment. Dedicated home office space is required.
Team player who learns fast, is eager to solve problems and loves getting results.
