How much does Card Security cost? The optional Card Security program costs $1.66 for every $100 of the ending balance on your Synchrony account each month.

Whether or not you purchase Card Security will not affect your application for credit or the terms of any existing credit agreement you have with Synchrony Bank (“the Bank”). The monthly cost for this protection is $1.66 per $100 of your ending monthly balance.

What's the Synchrony Bank credit card credit score requirement? It depends on the credit card you are interested in. Most credit cards offered by Synchrony Bank are designed for people with fair (640 – 699), good (700 – 749) or excellent (750 – 850) credit.

Closing a secured card too early, especially if it's your first line of credit, could ding your credit score. An alternative to closing your secured credit card is to upgrade to an unsecured card with the same issuer.
