■CTSC 56th Annual Rodeo| August 9
Where:Chisholm Trail Saddle Club
Please join us for our 56th Annual CPRA Sanctioned Rodeo in Clearwater, KS. It’s sure to keep you on the edge of your seat! Rodeo starts at 8 PM each night, but be sure to come early to get a good seat. We will have games for the kids each night. Entertainment by JD Kloxin both nights. Full concessions will be available. Events will be Bull Riding, Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Calf Roping, Break Away, Steer Wresting, Barrel Racing and Team Roping. If you are interested in participating, please get with the Central Plains Rodeo and sign ups are usually the Monday before. We will have The Classic Cowboys performing after the Rodeo, it’s outside so please bring a lawn chair and join us under the stars for some good music. Looking forward to everyone coming out and having a good time!

Join Us Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. June through August for Haysville’s Farmers Market. Free Horserides, Live Music, Biscuits and Gravy, Facepainting, and Temporary Tattoos are weekly features. Local vendors bring a variety of produce, plants, flowers, jewelry, kid items, baked goods, and much more! Nestled in the Historic District, a short stroll will take you by the Library’s book sale, Kid’s craft events, and Historic District buildings. Vintage Days are held on 2nd Saturdays and include weekly features plus Free Wagon Rides, Live Music at the Gazebo, Free Car Show, $9 All You Can Eat Mason Breakfast, Library Book by the Bag Sale and Live Drama and Cowboy Shootouts. Located 10 minutes south of Wichita at 100 S Main St in Haysville.
■Shocker Cheer Elementary Camp| August 10
Where:Charles Koch Arena
Shocker Cheer is hosting an elementary aged day camp for kids K-5 on August 10,2024. Event will take place at Koch arena from 9-4 with an hour lunch break. Camp will consist of the cheerleaders teaching campers cheers, chants, dances, jumps, and stunts. Games and crafts are also part of the days activities. Campers are asked to bring their own sack lunch or have parents pick them up 12-1 for lunch break. Cost is $50/ child with optional tshirt for additional $15. Parents are then asked to come back at 3:00 for a showcase of all the campers have learned at camp as well as for photo ops and autographs with cheer and Wu.
■Fred Douglass Masonic Foundation Charity Tournament| August 10

■Harvest 2024| August 10
Where:Grace Hill Winery
Lastly, harvest is a weather dependent activity, and if we are forced to cancel due to severe weather or unsatisfactory ripeness, we will fully refund your admission fees. We have had some hail issues this year, so while we hope to start the harvests at 8am, that may change from week to week due to a smaller crop than usual. We will hope to see you at Grace Hill for some picking soon!
■City Crew: Family Fun Day| August 10
Where:O.J. Watson Park
A family day is always a great day when you’re playing in the great outdoors! Crew Members will get a kick playing tabletop carnival games like the mini hoop, horseshoes, and other toss games, along with other outdoor yard games such as giant connect 4 and giant checkers. Don’t forget to bounce over to the inflatables where everyone will be jumping for joy or cool off riding a pedal boat and enjoying a snow cone. The miniature train and mini golf will also be available for free and door prizes will be given away throughout the day.
■Wingapalooza| August 10
Where:Intrust Bank Arena
Fans will have the opportunity to sample chicken wings from restaurants and local chefs who will be showcasing their culinary flare and competing for the best chicken wings in Wichita. Participating restaurants and chefs will vie for two awards at the event: a People’s Choice Award (aka “Lord of the Wings”) and a Judge’s Choice Award.
